Wingate Elementary School is owned and operated by the Bald Eagle Area School District. The school serves more than 500 regular education and special needs students in grades kindergarten through six. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, social studies, science and health education. The school has a staff of teachers specialize in arts, music and physical education. Wingate Elementary School also offers instrumental lessons to students in grades four through six. Its curriculum includes classes in art, music, health, physical education, and string and band instruments. Its guidance department provides age-appropriate developmental guidance lessons, and individual and small group counseling and consultation services to students. Bellefonte Elementary School offers several special programs for disabled students that include speech and language therapy, psychological assessment, and learning and gifted support. The school also provides classes in math, social science, drams, English, language arts and family and consumer sciences. Additionally, it offers health screening, food services and home work assistance to students.
