Chartered and incorporated by the Congress in 1919, The American Legion one of the largest veterans' service organizations in the United States. Based in Dillsburg, Pa., it is engaged in mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs along with promoting patriotism and national security. The organization supports a number of local programs and activities, such as American Legion Baseball, the Heroes to Hometowns and more.
