The Alliance of Black Social Workers, Inc. (ABSW) in Philadelphia is a professional organization dedicated to the betterment of individuals of African descent through professional development, advocacy, and community engagement. Comprised of social welfare professionals and members of the wider African community, ABSW provides a safe space for developing strategies to enhance the well-being of people of African descent.

As the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Black Social Workers, ABSW upholds the values of the Nguzo Saba of Kawaida, which form the basis for their Code of Ethics.
