Center For Human Development, located in La Grande, Ore., provides community-based health and human services to individuals, groups and families in need. The center offers various treatment services, such as alcohol and drug, integrated rehabilitative services for disabled and mentally ill adults. It also provides behavioral health and vocational services for disabled people, and outreach services. Center For Human Development provides intensive home-based services, including skills training and parenting education, and also provides assistance and support to the needy families or individuals. The center also offers public health care services, such as adult immunization, childhood immunization, and prevention programs for various diseases, including HIV and AIDS, cancers and diabetes. Center For Human Development also offers various health care programs and services to women and children, including nutrition education, dietary counseling, and supplementation of nutritious foods.

Saint Alphonsus Emergency Department is staffed by specially trained doctors and nureses who are prepared to respond to medical emergencies.
