With a comprehensive range of support services including housing, employment assistance, mental health counseling, and mentoring, Sponsors is dedicated to providing life-changing opportunities for those transitioning from incarceration. Founded in 1973 by Sister Janice Jackson and a group of passionate volunteers, Sponsors started with the mission of assisting individuals leaving the Oregon State Correctional Institution. Over the years, the organization has grown to offer 242 beds of transitional and long-term housing across seven sites in Lane County.
