Mumbo Gumbo started about 8 years ago as my dream (honestly I never thought it would ever actually happen). How could we offer a dish that is complex with depth made with fresh ingredients for an affordable price. A food cart was the answer. With the low cost of operating a cart as opposed to a traditional brick n' mortar I am able to offer my scratch recipes with quality ingredients and proteins for almost half the price. Why eat fast food for $10 when you can get shrimp gumbo for the same price? I'll wait.........so I guess I'll see you soon!
Specialties
Gumbo Gumbo PDX is the name and gumbo is our game. Sauce made from scratch, quality meat, smoked sausages, and fresh seafood. What else is there to say! Oh yeah we have vegan Gumbo or Red Bean options and offer vegan protein options. Besides the gumbo we will also be offering Red Beans N' Rice, and Shrimp N' Grits.

Range of Cajun cuisine, made with care. Delicious in the moment and the next day. Gumbo available in "standard" or custom. Shrimp and grits is very good. Service is personable and attentive....
