HistoryMargot has been doing Reiki since 1973. She originally learned it from Mrs.Takata, the teacher who brought Reiki to the western world. She has been teaching Reiki since 1994. It has been a major part of her work and practice ever since. In 1988, she spent 2 1/2 years learning Hakomi/Sensorimotor Psychotherapy from Pat Ogden. She works with clients individually, and also sometimes leads Hakomi groups and workshops She has been a licensed professional counselor in Oregon since 2006. She has an office in downtown Corvallis, and teaches classes at her lovely retreat-like center on the west side of CorvallisSpecialtiesMargot has offered healing and education to the Corvallis community for 30 years. A gentle, wise, and intuitive therapist, Margot is able to help clients find within themselves the compassion and inner resources to help heal the wounded inner child. She offers a wide range of counseling services, including help with anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, stress-reduction,and family of origin issues. Her thirty years of experience with the Hakomi method invite mind-body-spirit healing at a deep and transformational level. Along with client services, Margot also teaches Reiki I and Reiki II classes at her beautiful home in the woods west of Corvallis. She facilitates many other events and workshops on an ongoing basis.
