Founded in 1973, Street School is a nonprofit alternative high school that provides education, therapeutic counseling and outreach programs. It offers dropout prevention, intervention and recovery programs for students in grades 9 through 12. The school also offers The World As Our Classroom program, which focuses on brain-based learning activities. Street School additionally offers Peer Pregnancy Prevention Education and the First Time Offender programs. The school provides therapeutic and group counseling, crisis intervention, mentoring and health-related services. It conducts various college preparatory and technical education classes.
