Howard T. Moriarty Company ( HTM ) was started in 1949 when Howard broke away from his fathers business ( Moriarty Machinery ) to start his own business. Howard started with a small rented building, and finally settled in at 143 Broadway Street, near downtown Toledo, Ohio. Various lines of construction equipment were carried including Michigan Cranes. An opportunity came along when a major automotive manufacturer was looking for back up air compressors for their factory. HTM became a Leroi air compressor dealer at that time. Various lines have come and gone as HTM responed to its customers' needs. We have developed a philosophy that we will only carry top quality equipment, so our customers can rely on us having reliable equipment. That means less down time and repairs for you, and more money in your pocket. Besides Leroi, HTM has represented Bomag, Prime Mover, Heinrich, Thor, Smith, Winco, Scat Trak and Dietz. Our current offering includes industry recognized leaders like Ingersoll Rand / Doosan, Stihl, Gorman Rupp, Honda, Tsurumi, MultiQuip, Wacker Nueson, Towmaster, Solar Tech and more. As our customer base grew, our customers asked for more and more supply items for their jobsites. Safety and supply items for jobsites, industrial customers and municipalities went from an item we carried to help secure a rental order, to a large portion of our business. We regularly hold in house safety seminars, and also travel to do onsite training and demonstrations. Yes we are a local company. But our products have reached the corners of the world. We have shipped equipment to Africa, Malaysia and Germany as well as most of the 50 states in the USA, including Hawaii.
