Located in Fort Thomas, Ky., Hospice Care Unit of Northern Kentucky is a part of the Hospice of the Bluegrass, which is a private nonprofit organization that was founded in 1978. The organization offers counseling and bereavement services. It also provides nursing, palliative, inpatient, pediatric and pastoral care services. The Hospice of the Bluegrass serves more than 1,000 patients daily in over 25 central, southeastern and northern Kentucky counties. It is accredited by The Joint Commission and is certified by Medicare and Medicaid. The organization also assists individuals with chronic and mental illnesses with daily living activities.
