The Ukrainian Museum-Archives in Cleveland, OH, takes pride in preserving Ukrainian culture and the immigrant experience. Founded in 1952 by scholars dedicated to safeguarding Ukrainian history and heritage, the museum houses a remarkable collection of artifacts from the 12th to 18th centuries.

With a focus on collecting and conserving items that were at risk of destruction in Soviet Ukraine, the UMA has amassed over 45,000 books, 1,800 periodical titles, and a significant post-WWII Displaced Persons Camps collection. Visitors can explore Ukrainian sacred art, participate in research, and browse the gift shop for authentic Ukrainian merchandise.

While the UMA Front Museum Building is currently undergoing construction, guests can still access the museum through the Gallery/Archive Building. Open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, the museum invites individuals to become members, attend events, or support its mission of preserving Ukrainian heritage for future generations.

Wonderful pysanky class offered here. Great coffee shop down the street too, which all made for a fun afternoon get together.
