Callander's Mr. Tux was founded in 1967 when Lawrence Callander decided to start renting tuxedos out of his small dry cleaning store in downtown Newark, Ohio. He initially purchased around 75 tuxedos and started in the rental business.The business was incorporated in 1977 as Callander's Formal House, Inc and began doing business as Callander's Mr. Tux.Today, Callander's Mr. Tux carries over 5, 000 tuxedos in stock at their main office showroom and warehouise located at 977 Mt. Vernon Rd., OH 43055 Newark In addition to servicing retail customers in the Newark and Licking County area from their Mt. Vernon Road facility, they also wholesale tuxedo rentals to men's clothing stores, bridal shops and other tuxedo stores in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania and Lower Michagan.
