NACCO Industries is an operating holding company engaged in three principal businesses, lift trucks, housewares and mining. NACCO Materials Handling Group designs, engineers, manufactures, sells, services and leases a line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed worldwide under the Hyster and Yale brand names. NACCO Housewares Group designs, manufactures, imports and markets of small electric kitchen and household appliances, as well as commercial products for restaurants, bars and hotels. Its brands include Hamilton Beach, Proctor Silex, True Air and The Kitchen Collection. The North American Coal Corporation mines and markets lignite coal primarily as fuel for power generation and provides selected value-added mining services for other natural resources companies. Vita-Mix manufactures high-speed blenders and mixing equipment for the consumer market, hospitality and foodservice industries. Its machines can grind grain, cook soup, juice whole fruits and vegetables, knead dough, create frozen drinks and make ice cream. Cooks Illustrated magazine called the Vita-Mix the 'King of Blenders' in its May/June 2002 issue. Vita-Mix products are internationally distributed in 45 countries. The company was established in 1921 and is located in Olmsted Township, Ohio.
