Perkins Township Fire Department

Established in 1953, the Perkins Township Fire Department works to protect lives and property against losses due to fires, hazardous conditions, accidents and medical emergencies. It offers a range of emergency medical and response services. The department has a staff of more than 40 full- and part-time employees. The Perkins Township Fire Department s firefighters are certified by the state of Ohio. Its equipment includes thermal imagers, pumpers and a grass truck. In addition, the department maintains an inspection and prevention division that conducts fire safety inspections, education in schools, arson investigation, and extinguisher and fire safety training, as well as administers preconstruction counseling for businesses and contractors. The Perkins Township Fire Department is located in Sandusky, Ohio.
