ABOUT North Canton Playhouse Mission The North Canton Playhouse Center for the Performing Arts is a charitable and educational institution, whose mission is to provide entertainment, enrichment, education and to encourage theatrical arts throughout North Canton Community, Stark County and the Northeastern Ohio area. North Canton Playhouse History This year, the North Canton Playhouse will be continuing the tradition of extraordinary community theatre with its 33rd consecutive season. We are proud to offer live, quality entertainment and a variety of productions and programs that allow opportunities and enjoyment for all. Founded in 1976 by Leonard and Mary McManaway, and John and Sue Leonatti, North Canton Playhouse's first production, Mame, was performed at Hoover High School South Campus in October, 1976.

Canton City Schools District is a prekindergarten to grade 12, educational district located in Canton, Ohio. The district comprises more than 15 high, middle and elementary schools and an early childhood kindergarten center. In addition, the district operates an alternative middle school, alternative high schools, a Montessori school, digital academy and an educational facility housed within a juvenile attention center. The schools of the district offer a wide variety of academic, vocational, athletic, fine arts and extracurricular activities. It also offers the Design for the Future program. It additionally offers adult and special education for the disabled. The athletic programs offered by the school district include football soccer and basketball. It also offers wellness services, media and information center and counseling and guidance services.
