I am committed to providing innovative and compassionate care to individuals with mental illness. My special interest is in treating people experiencing a psychotic episode for the first time. With effective treatment, it is possible to help people recover and return to optimum potential. I treat every patient like a member of my family, and strive to provide a soothing and accepting environment where patients are able to connect and be heard. I form a partnership with my patients and their families to develop a personalized treatment plan that best meets their individual needs. One of my passions is teaching residents and students at Ohio State. While working here, I have been recognized for my work with the Excellence in Teaching Award 2007; Outstanding Faculty Award 2008; Outstanding Faculty Award 2011 and Faculty Teaching Award 2012. I was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2013. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer and I am active in my local church. I am married and have two sons.
