Heart Light

Based in Toledo, Ohio, Sisters of Notre Dame is an international group of women serving the churches in more than 15 countries and was established in 1924. It operates various educational and pastoral ministries. The organization serves various children and young people daily by administering and teaching in parish schools. It provides educational services in various elementary and high schools, and colleges in more than five dioceses, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Florida, and ministries in Papua New Guinea and Rome, Italy. The organization s educational ministry, Double ARC, serves children at risk for school failure and provides training, consultation and advocacy by collaborating with education, health and social service providers. It offers adult learning with year-round courses in scripture, agricultural, cooking, sewing and health care areas through the Maria Kwin Resource Center.
