As an orthopedic surgeon, I enjoy taking care of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues. I work hard to ensure my skills are used to give patients an excellent experience during their time at The Ohio State University. Orthopedic trauma is a special interest of mine, and my area of fellowship training. I enjoy working with patients who have fractures at all stages of treatment, from acute injuries to more chronic issues such as malunions (fractures that have not healed) and nonunions (fractures that have healed incorrectly). My goal is to engage patients in their care. I believe that patients who actively participate in their care often have better outcome t's very rewarding for me to watch my patients as they go through the rehabilitation process. I enjoy seeing the positive results of our treatments and guiding each person on their journey back to healt enjoy working at The Ohio State University because we have a strong sense of community and a seemingly endless number of opportunities. As a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, I specialize in hip and knee replacement and revisions. In addition, I feel a strong pull toward the community of orthopedics and can shift my goals toward advancing the field as opposed to purely seeing patients. During my time at Ohio State, I plan to take on more of a role in orthopedic surgery resident education, collaboration to drive prosthetic joint infection management and coordinating research efforts for the total joints surgery division of the Department of Orthopaedic efore coming to Ohio State, I made contributions to the field of medicine by implementing significant administrative changes at the local level and investigating a novel care pathway for total joint replacement that has the potential to significantly impact health care as a whol 'm passionate about working at Ohio State (my alma mater) because it has the resources and collaboration between departments to support the best management of complex and failed hip and knee replacements.
