Founded in 1926, Esther Price Candies produces approximately 1 million boxes of candy per year. Its chocolates are made with fresh heavy cream, pure butter, sugar as well as high-grade chocolate coatings and cocoas. The company hand rolls its cordial cherries and peanut butter creams individually. Its candy varieties include butter cream, pecan topper, coconut cream, almond topper, fudge cream, cherry cordial, caramel pecan, peanut butter cream, caramel, honeycomb chip, cluster, cashew, almond, pecan and solid chocolates. The company employs 100 people during its season, which begins in August and ends two weeks before Easter, but its retail stores are open year-round. Esther Price Candies wholesale department delivers its chocolates to Dayton-Cincinnati area grocery stores.
