A & G Manufacturing Company was founded by Arvin Shifley and Glen Shifley Sr. in 1971. It is a family-owned company. The company started out as a job-shop facility with machining, welding, fabricating and finish painting. The company has three plants. The first plant houses the main office, sales office, machine shop and A&G Mercury parts warehouse. The second plant is used for heavy fabrication, assembly of tow tractors, abrasive blasting, wet coat and powder coating. The third plant is used for manufacturing of truck beds, trailers and cabs and light fabrication job-shop work. The company is based in Galion, Ohio.
