Based in Xenia, Ohio, 4 Paws for Ability is a place who provides service dogs to individuals of any age and disability. Founded in 1998, it offers a variety of trained assistance dogs, including hearing ear dogs, autism assistance dogs, multipurpose assistance dogs, mobility assistance dogs and seizure assistance dogs. The organization also provides assistance and services in 4 paws German Shepherd Dog rescue, Rover rehabilitation, foster puppy program and prison program for dogs. 4 Paws for Ability also offers dogs for case specific to meet the child unique needs. It has received awards, such as, the 1999 Feature Story award from the Dog Writer's Association of America, The Honor of Their Hometown Hero Award from Cincinnati Channel 9 World Consumer Protection Organization and The Blanche Beisswenger Memorial GSDCA Hero Dog Award from The German Shepherd Club Of America.
