ND Senior Career Development

ND Senior Career Development is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Dickinson, ND. Established in 2017, their mission is to enhance the lives of seniors, their families, and communities in North Dakota. They achieve this through their Foster Grandparent Program, which engages volunteers aged 55 and older to work one-on-one with children in educational settings, providing support and guidance to enhance their educational experience.

The Foster Grandparent Program, a nationwide initiative that has been running for over 50 years, offers volunteers the opportunity to serve between 5 and 40 hours a week, with no formal experience required. Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training, a stipend, and reimbursements for meals and mileage. By becoming a Foster Grandparent, volunteers can make a significant impact on the academic and life skills development of local children, helping them succeed in their future endeavors.
