Yum Yum (originally West End Ice Cream, Co) has been owned and operated by the Aydelette family since 1906. WB Aydelette, Sr., started out with a push cart and a 'dream of ice cream' in 1906 in downtown Greensboro. WB and his wife, Lenora, added the hot dogs (and 7 children!) a few years later. A cart, a horse and wagon, and two store fronts later, the Aydelettes have found just that right combination of old fashioned hot dogs with their secret chili recipe and homemade on the premises Yum Yum ice cream. Yum Yum has become one of the most beloved restaurants in North Carolina. Yum Yum is currently located in the middle of the UNC-Greensboro campus at 1219 Spring Garden Street. Come by and re-visit the memories or make new memories in our store, which has been referred to as one of the most nostalgic destinations in Greensboro.
