History

In the earliest days, the bulk of the W.A riding was shouldered by just one incredible little horse whom we affectionately call Pepper-Pony. She was the catalyst to the flame that is the beating heart of the W.A program. For 2 long years, Pepper taught one rider at a time how to ride and with each penny saved, Pepper was later joined by Clementine, Tonto, and Danny, thus the very first W.A Wonder Pony team was born. At first, W.A specialized in pony parties and rides. Events were booked well in advance and the Wonder Ponies spent many hours trailering from here to there. The dream was becoming a reality, then COVID hit forcing the W.A program to shift & adapt to the new reality. Today, the Wonder Pony team has grown and we have left a life on the road for a more stationary routine that allows more riders to come through our doors and enjoy the magic the horses bring.

Specialties

Walker Acres Riding Acadamy is proud to present training in Horsemanship that can be applied to any discipline. With a focus on safety and handling, riders are taught how to communicate both to and with their equine partners to adapt their training and build a positive relationship that benefits both horse and rider. For ages 4+, we happily offer a different kind of riding experience that re-evaluates what it means to be a horseman/woman.
