Established in 1991, WakeMed Cary Hospital is 114-bed community hospital that provides a wide range of health care facilities to residents of western Wake County and surrounding areas. Located in Cary, N.C., its services and divisions include emergency services; intensive care unit; cardiopulmonary services; imaging services; rehabilitation center; and women s pavilion and birthplace. The hospital s emergency department offers 24-hour services that include a 12-bed observation unit and a designated children s waiting area. Additionally, the women s pavilion and birthplace offers services that include labor and delivery, postpartum care and Level II care for babies needing short-term intensive care.
