Becoming a provider has always been a goal of mine. My nursing background in critical care, with five years of intensive care unit (ICU) experience, gave me valuable insight into how health issues can quickly become very serious. These experiences solidified my desire to transition to primary care as a provider where I can focus on prevention, early intervention, and building long-term relationships with patients. My clinical special interests include nutrition/weight management and preventive care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, gardening, and being by the water.

I have served the families of Johnston County for several years and am familiar with the healthcare needs that exist. I returned to school to become a Family Nurse Practitioner to increase the communitys access to quality healthcare. I hope to empower those I serve by caring for and providing education to assist them with meeting their healthcare goals. My special interests include holistic, preventive care. I believe ones mental health is just as important as ones physical health! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, hiking and traveling.

I’m excited to be a part of the UNC team. I’m from Wilmington, North Carolina, and I love being around my family, my farm animals, and the beach. I have experience in vascular and general surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, urgent care, and orthopedics. I hold the highest standard of patient care as my goal each and every day. My goal is to make a difference in my patient's lives and to get them back on the road of recovery as quickly as possible if needed. I aspire to not only give my patients the best quality of life but also—hope. Each patient, each day deserves the very best.
