Katarah's Hope
Katarah's Hope is a non-profit organization based in Henderson, NC, dedicated to providing enrichment and leadership development opportunities to the youth. Established in July 2019 under the name Black Stars, the organization was founded by a mother who wanted to create a positive space for young people in response to the prevalence of bullying, drug use, and other negative influences in her daughter's age group. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Katarah's Hope continues to carry out its mission, honoring the legacy of Katarah, the founder's daughter who tragically passed away at the age of 14. Driven by the vision of leading the youth towards a productive future, Katarah's Hope has organized various activities such as fishing trips, paint and sip events, hair workshops, and community outreach initiatives like feeding the homeless and providing groceries and lunches to different communities. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Katarah's Hope is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people and fostering a sense of hope and empowerment within the community.Generated from the website
