I place a heavy emphasis on exercise and activity, since both are crucial to good health and well-being. \n My personal journey with fitness did not start until age 12 when I joined the local swim team in my hometown in the Chicago suburbs. Since then, getting regular exercise has been part of my life, and it's had a profound impact on my physical and mental well-being. \n I love working with athletes in all capacities. I've worked as a team physician for both the Carolina Mudcats (minor league baseball) and Cary High School and also have a passion for working with local endurance athletes. I first met my husband training for a triathlon and we stay active in that pursuit as our schedules allow. \n I am happily married with a daughter and two grown stepchildren. I've lived in North Carolina since 2014 and love the ability to be outdoors throughout the year - which is impossible in Chicago - as well as our proximity to the mountains and beach. We love travel and visit Asheville and Surf City regularly. In addition to being passionate about staying active, I'm also passionate about cooking (mostly) healthy food.
