I chose to become a midwife after an amazing physician-led pregnancy and birth with my first child. I asked my doctor how he managed to create an experience that was so patient-focused and his response was, I worked with midwives right after residency and they helped me learn to listen. Fast forward several years: I decided to make a major career switch for the sake of doing something impactful and midwifery jumped to the front of my memory. It was the most impulsive decision my family and I ever made, but it has become the most wonderful adventure and we have never looked back. My philosophy to patient care is that most patients know where they want to go, they just need help creating the map to get there. My goal is to use modern evidence-based practice with the patient-focused lens of midwifery to navigate any obstacles so that we can find the safest, most respectful path to our happiest destination. When I am not at work, I relax by laughing with my close friends, having adventures with my family, and my ultimate guilty pleasure: binge-watching dating shows with my husband.

As an OBGYN Family Nurse Practitioner, I’m passionate about providing patient-centered, evidence-based care to those I serve. I was inspired to become a nurse after watching the incredible care my grandfather received during his cancer treatment—especially from the nurses who made such a meaningful difference in his experience. That inspiration eventually led me to a career in emergency medicine and labor & delivery, and later, to becoming a nurse practitioner. I chose to become a nurse practitioner because I wanted to support patients not just during hospital stays, but throughout their lives. I love building long-term relationships and helping people take charge of their health. My approach to care is very much team-based. I believe my role is to provide clear, evidence-based information so my patients can make decisions that are right for them. I always walk into a visit asking, “How can we make a plan that works for you?”. Over time, I developed a strong interest in menopause and perimenopausal care. I saw how many women lacked access to up-to-date, personalized support during this important stage of life. That led me to earn my MSCP (Menopause Society Certified Practitioner) credential from The Menopause Society. I’m also especially passionate about mental health—including perinatal anxiety and depression—along with preventive care, contraception, and LGBTQ+ health. When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my wife, our two kids, our dog, and our ever-growing crew of rescue cats.
