Ravenscroft School is an independent, co-educational, college preparatory day school enrolling more than 1,000 students, from prekindergarten through grade 12. The school is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools. It comprises of lower school, middle school and upper school divisions. It offers more than 20 advanced placement courses and summer programs. It offers academic skills programs to students who have an identified learning disability, processing issues and attention deficit disorder. The school also provides counseling and health services and has science and computer labs. Its arts program includes classes in voice, band, photography, dance, drama, visual arts and a variety of instrumental ensembles. Established in 1862, Ravenscroft School is located in Raleigh, N.C.
