Moores Creek National Battlefield in Currie, NC preserves the site of the pivotal Battle of Moores Creek Bridge during the American Revolution. On February 27, 1776, North Carolina Patriots successfully defended against Loyalist forces in a historic clash that saw the last broadsword charge by Scottish Highlanders and a significant victory for the Patriots.

Visitors can explore the battlefield, learn about the American Revolution, and delve into the history and culture of this important moment in time. The park offers educational opportunities, volunteer programs, and special events to engage with the rich heritage of the area. Moores Creek National Battlefield provides a unique and immersive experience for those interested in America's struggle for independence.

Nice little NPS site. Good interpretative content. Grounds very well maintained. Friendly rangers. Top tier junior ranger program. Probably a 90 minute stop. A place worth checking out.
