History

Owner Drew Lazarus worked as the Sommelier at The Washington Duke Inn and as General Manager at Nana's Restaurant in Durham before turning his focus on retail with Hope Valley Wine & Beverage. His goal is to bring the nuances of Customer Service he learned through years of hospitality work to a retail environment.

Specialties

We are open for both Curbside Pick-Up of advance orders placed through email or by phone, as well as in-store shopping. If you wish to shop inside, Face Masks are strongly encouraged, but not required. All staff members are fully vaccinated. Hope Valley Wine & Beverage (formerly Hope Valley Bottle Shop) is an independent retailer of Fine Wines. We act as your Everyday Sommelier, looking to be a community driven neighborhood beverage store. Our goal is to get to know as many customers personally as possible, get to know your tastes, and make specific recommendations based on that knowledge. Whether making suggestions for cases of wines for a wedding or family reunion, or just making the perfect pairing for the dinner you are cooking tonight, it is our goal to find fantastic wines for you.
