I have known since the age of 16 that I wanted to be in healthcare. Taking care of people has always been something that I was passionate about. I decided to further my nursing career by becoming a nurse practitioner to have more of an impact on my patients' care. While I enjoy caring for all patients, I have a special interest in women's health. I like to base my care on the philosophy of teamwork. I want my patients to view me as a member of their team, here to support them and offer advice when needed and to cheer on their successes. When I am not at work, I spend most of my time with my family. I can usually be found at the softball field. In the warm months, I enjoy being near a body of warm water, whether it be a pool, lake, river or the ocean.

Ever since I attended a nursing camp in middle school, I have known that I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. I enjoy caring for people and their well-being; becoming an advanced practice provider is just an extension of who I am. I truly believe in providing care to the whole individual. While I am a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have primarily cared for adults and geriatrics. In addition to the management of acute and minor illness, I have a special interest in the care of complex chronic patients. When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing at home, spending time with my husband and children, and serving in my church.
