Hannah Coletti, MD, MPH

I have loved my time learning the art of medicine at UNC and am very excited to be able to put that knowledge to work as a primary care physician with the Department of Medicine. I thoroughly enjoy providing patients with comprehensive and patient-centered care. I am very passionate about increasing diversity within medicine, quality improvement, and using my love of the arts and theater background for the medical education of students and residents. Outside of work, I love to explore all the wonderful things the Triangle has to offer, hanging out with my dog Trooper (Golden Retriever and German Shepard mix) and endlessly trying to convince my friends to do karaoke with me.

My interest in disease prevention drove me to clinical medicine. My faith in clinical preventive medicine and primary care remains staunch and is the driving force behind being a physician. I believe in educating patients and increasing their awareness about their diseases. I think in this manner, patients can participate in their care management. I feel that physician-patient shared decision making always achieves better results. Outside of work, I enjoy painting and spending time with my family.

I believe in putting excellent clinical care into context. Every person brings their own story—their culture, history, trauma, and goals—to our offices, and I believe it is my job to help you choose most informed and appropriate decision for you. My interests include trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and healthcare disparities.
