Located in Greensboro, N.C., the Financial & Administrative Services Department, formerly known as the Finance Department, offers treasury management, accounting, and payroll and collection recordkeeping services. It provides financial reporting, budgeting, purchasing, and equipment and graphic services. The Financial & Administrative Services Department s council is responsible for the planning and directing of the city s financial affairs in compliance with federal, state and local financial laws, ordinances and regulations. It issues business privilege licenses and debt and secondary market disclosures. The department develops long-range financial plans, as well as monitors banking and investment related issues. It provides risk management, financial assistance and audit services and prepares the city s annual financial report. The Financial & Administrative Services Department is a part of the City of Greensboro, N.C.
