I have great concern and affection for children, and I am grateful that they are so resilient in times of sickness. \n I have cared for patients at Novant Health for more than 20 years and was honored as one the top 2% of doctors two years in a row. I am a lead physician at Novant Health. \n My approach to medicine is to form a team - the patient, the parent(s) and myself - that decides together on the outcome of each interaction or visit. I try to involve my young patients in decision-making as much as their age allows. I try to hear families' concerns without interrupting, and I make it a point to remember important aspects of their lives, such as sports or travel, so they know I see them as people, not just patients. \n I work hard to keep my knowledge up to date and to stay on top of trends such as telemedicine. Most of all, I love coming to work to encounter beautiful children every day. \n My husband and I have a teenager and a Weimaraner. I enjoy doing hot yoga with my daughter, working in the yard with my husband and walking the dog. Our family enjoys traveling, skiing and spending time at the beach.
