Dr. Hirata Family Practice

Dr. Takashi Hirata understands how complex medical care can seem and tries to simplify the process for his patients. Family medicine allows him to care for the entire family under one roof. Dr. Hirata is proud to be part of a practice small enough to offer personal attention but large enough to provide comprehensive care. While he likes seeing a variety of patients, Dr. Hirata has a particular interest in office procedures, sports medicine, fracture management, adolescent issues and women's health issues. When he is not spending time with his patients, Dr. Hirata enjoys spending time with his own family. He and his wife have two active boys and love cheering for Tarheel sports, going to the beach or exploring in the woods.

For more than a decade, family nurse practitioner Lindsay Hartman has devoted herself to medicine. She enjoys meeting and treating a variety of patients and is happy to provide them with quality medical care. While she cares for women, men and children of all ages, Hartman has a special fondness for women's health services. She knows how important it is for women to have a provider they can trust and confide in. As a mom herself, Harman understands the needs of women and what they go through. Outside of work, Hartman enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They like reading, playing outside and doing arts and crafts. They also love traveling up to Charlottesville to cheer on UVA sports.
