Excellent toy shop! JellyCat, calico critters, dress up, puzzles, you name it. Huge selection, very well organized, very friendly staff. It was a treat to find this place!

Sarah Evers started working at Dancing Bear Toys when she was nineteen years old. She helped the original owner, Jim Proctor, move the toy store from Biltmore Village to Tunnel Road in 1993. That same year, the Evers family purchased the store. At first, they saw it as a short-term investment. They had no idea that the toy store would grow to become a local landmark! Sarah and her sister Erika took over daily operations. In 1997, they opened a second location on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. This place is awesome! The people are so nice, the selection is amazing. Everything was priced very reasonably, and I was super grateful to find everything that I wanted at a good price!

Lots of jelly cats, it was hard to pick. Didn't have any Bashful Bunnies which is what i really wanted but i found some adorable ones to choose instead. The smiskis and sonny angels were not...

Lovely store, lovely people and a unique selection of toys. I was greeted immediately upon entering and found some amazing toys at a very reasonable price. This place embodies Asheville!

It's a fantastic store that my wife and I took our two daughters in to get a gift before they left North Carolina for our home. Walk around the entire store had a Lotta good gifts lotta good toys...
