When I was 9 years old, my parents went on a medical mission trip to Central America. This sparked my interest in healthcare, and I knew then I wanted a career in medicine. After college, I worked for a medical nonprofit in Honduras, which further opened my eyes to the importance of access to high quality healthcare. \n I chose internal medicine since it allows me to get to know my patients and help them achieve their health goals throughout many stages of their lives. I see each patient as an individual and tailor treatment plans to them that take into consideration their goals and life circumstances. I strive to provide compassionate, individualized, thorough and evidence-based care. \n When not at work, I enjoy hiking, being on the lake and traveling with my husband and our two sons.

As an internal medicine physician, I see myself as the quarterback of my patients' healthcare team. I am responsible for monitoring each patient's overall health, suggesting ways to stay as healthy as possible and bringing in other care providers when necessary.
