That's our second time in Catakoochee and I think we are done. They gave natural snow but they complete with artificial one and that's fine for us. The problem for us it's they don't have an kids...

Cataloochee was the first ski area located in North Carolina and is located just 35 miles west of Asheville. In addition to 18 slopes ranging from Beginner to Expert, we also offer Freestyle Terrain with two parks, full-service rentals, ski/snowboard lessons, an on-site gift shop, cafeteria-style dining, full bar, and complimentary Wi-Fi. For even MORE family fun, we also have snow tubing available at Tube World which is located at the bottom of the mountain in the valley at 4721 Soco Rd.

I don't know why it's at 3 stars. I loved it. First time coming to this resort as a newbie ski-er and I had a blast. Staff was very friendly and food was good. Equipment was in great condition.

What a fun time. First time skiing and we had a blast. Our instructor(male from Peru) was great. Great instructions and patience. Everyone from start to finish was great. Easy check in, picked up...

Great smaller East Coast ski resort located in Southern North Carolina. 18 runs and every once in a while they will open up the meadows when they get a lot of snow. Hope to go again when my boy...
