In 1981, Greensboro Youth Soccer Association ( GYS ) was approved as a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit organization. We were incorporated in 1978. GYS is the largest soccer organization in the Piedmont-Triad and is currently home to more than 7, 000 players, coaches, officials, parents and volunteers. Greensboro Youth Soccer serves the Piedmont-Triad area and offers programs at all levels of play, from 4 year olds to Adult's. Greensboro Youth Soccer has the most experienced and qualified staff ( highest coaching qualifications ), has helped place more players on college scholarships, and won more NC State Cups than any other organization in the Piedmont-Triad area. Greensboro Youth Soccer has some of the finest soccer facilities in the country with the Bryan Park Soccer Complex and Smith Soccer Complex.
