Albemarle Hospice

Albemarle Home Care, Elizabeth City, N.C., is a nonprofit, Medicare-certified home health agency that provides health care and community-based services to individuals of all ages. It is affiliated with Albemarle Regional Health Services and was established in 1968. It provides an array of services, including skilled nursing services with the aid of registered nurses, assessments and evaluations, Level IV therapy, and short- and long-term medication services. It also offers physical, occupational and speech therapies, and HIV case management services with the aid of social workers that provide social, medical and emotional support to clients and families. Additionally, it operates various programs, such as the Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults and Albemarle Hospice program for senior adults and patients suffering from terminal illnesses.
