He then returned to New York, where he received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He remained at New York University for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as an additional year as Chief Resident. He continued at New York University for fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease. He joined the full-time faculty at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital as a specialist in Non-Invasive Cardiology.As a non-invasive cardiologist, Dr. Vorsanger specializes in the medical management and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well as cardiac imaging, including echocardiograms, stress testing, vascular ultrasound, and rhythm monitoring. Dr. Vorsanger is also proficient in Spanish.

Dr. Nikhil Uppal is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. He is the Site Director for Hematology/Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. He has experience with clinical and translational research studies and a special interest in pancreatic malignancies and lymphomas. Dr. Uppal sees patients at both the Weill Cornell Upper East Side and Lower Manhattan Campuses, and is accepting new patients. Dr. Uppal completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester and his Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Strong Memorial University Hospital. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Uppal worked for New York University Langone Arena Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
