West Side Taekwondo, founded in 1992 by Masters Sung Chul Whang and Jun Chul Whang, is a premier martial arts school located in New York City. With a strong emphasis on both traditional Taekwondo practices and competitive training, the school fosters excellence through its experienced instructors and rich history in the sport.

Master Paul Lim, a second-generation Taekwondo Master, leads the program as a 5th Dan Master Instructor and is also the head instructor for Columbia University Taekwondo Club. The Whang brothers, who have a notable history of coaching elite athletes, have contributed significantly to the development of collegiate Taekwondo programs across the Northeastern U.S.
