The Waterford Police Department is a community-oriented law enforcement agency that works to prevent, detect and investigate criminal activities through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It maintains a communication and dispatch center that responds to police, fire, and medical emergency and nonemergency calls. The department supports the School Resource Officer program.
