The Wartburg Adult Care Community, located in Mount Vernon, N.Y., offers seven-day adult services, long-term home health care and skilled nursing; assisted and independent living; and subacute rehabilitation services. Founded in 1866, the community serves seniors through a range of respite, hospice and caregiver support programs. It has a 36-acre campus with formal and informal gardens, walkways, gazebos and space for outdoor activities. Its Lohman Village and Meadowview Assisted Living communities provide residential options for seniors, and offer scheduled local transportation for shopping and entertainment; and a full-time chaplain who conducts services and directs pastoral care. The Wartburg Adult Care Community also provides licensed home care services for temporary and ongoing assistance by offering personal care aides and companion services; physical, occupational and speech therapies; escort services, nursing and nutrition counseling.
