Valerye Miller, DNP, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a robust background in medical-surgical and critical care nursing. She began her career at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she cared for complex surgical patients, including those with urologic oncology conditions under the guidance of Dr. Douglas Scherr.Valerye earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Long Island University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Columbia University. Following her doctoral training, she was accepted into the highly competitive Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Upon completing the fellowship, she joined MSKCC’s Critical Care team as a full-time Nurse Practitioner, managing a wide range of high-acuity conditions and postoperative complications.With years of experience in acute care settings, Valerye now specializes in the treatment of urologic oncology patients, including those with prostate, bladder and renal cancers. Most recently, Dr. Allen-Dicker published a book chapter on sleep in adolescent athletes.At Weill Cornell, Dr. Allen-Dicker is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical Psychiatry, serves on the LVAD/Heart Transplant service, and supervises mental health clinicians treating individuals within hospital-affiliated primary care practices. He maintains a faculty practice at Weill Cornell and is available for evaluation, consultation, and individual psychotherapy.
