Michael D Maloney, MD is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. With extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstructions, and soft tissue repair, Dr. Maloney provides comprehensive care for injuries and conditions of the shoulder, elbow, and knee. As the Chief of Sports Medicine and the Medical Director of the URMC Ambulatory Surgery Center, he leads a team that provides medical care for local colleges, professional teams, and high schools in the region. Dr. Maloney is also the founder and Director of CHAMPP, a center focused on athletic performance, injury prevention, and wellness. At the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group (URMFG), Dr. Maloney is part of a network of over 900 specialist and primary care providers across 19 departments.
