The Modern

The Modern is a 2 Michelin-starred contemporary American restaurant at the Museum of Modern Art and part of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group. Helmed by Executive Chef Thomas Allan, the restaurant features refined, playful dishes that highlight exceptional ingredients and seasonality. Lunch offers a $150 four-course prix fixe menu or $275 six-course menu. Dinner at The Modern is a six-course menu, with a few surprises. Dinner is $275 per person, with the option of wine pairings. The Bar Room offers Chef Thomas Allan's cooking a la carte in a lively space with table, lounge, and bar seating. The Modern accepts reservations 28 days in advance and welcomes walk-ins for The Bar Room. The restaurant also includes a terrace overlooking MoMA's Abby A. Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. The Kitchen Table offers a custom multi course menu for up to four guests in the heart of the restaurant's world-class kitchen.
