In February 2023, we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the New York Blood Center's National Cord Blood Program (NCBP), which is the world's first and largest public cord blood bank. It is also the first in the world to obtain a Biologics License from the FDA to manufacture HEMACORD; and the first ever where clinical transplants of unrelated donor cord blood were performed using NCBP cord blood units All of our Cord blood has been collected from placentas and umbilical cords after birth by specially trained nurses and technicians of the National Cord Blood Program (NCBP) and are provided without donor identifiers or donor-specific information.
